War is a merry "bottom wagging" cocker, he's coping well with Quarantine and is in excellent condition, now we're just counting down the days until he comes home !
War started his Australian campaign off winning multiple DCC's and Runner up in Group and then off he went to Queensland for a sort visit to undertake some stud work. Back home again he has really settled now and learnt some English and we are finally binding as a team.
May 2014 War wins BEST IN SHOW ! at Seymour Kennel Club (Judge was Mrs M Rose) we couldn't be happier he showed like a dream ! Now just a few points away from his Australian title the hard work has paid off and I'm really starting to enjoy him.

November 2014. Warrior has passed over the rainbow bridge
Our beautiful boy War arrived from Spain In October 2013 and less then a year later he has passed away from Leishmania infantum... our hearts are broken !
I have been asked a number of questions including How? When? so in brief ...
Australia is free of all varieties of canine Leishmania and War is the first dog to arrive in Australia with Leishmania infantum. War was tested clear 3months prior to leaving Spain using the Indirect immunofluorescence (IFI) method.
War arrived weighing 9kg, and it took some time to get him in shape, but I always felt "something's not quite right" War showed a glimpse of what we could expect from him in top form when he was awarded Best In Show in May 2014 we started to get excited that all the hard work was paying off... Then the continuous nose bleeds started and after months of extensive investigative diagnosis including CT Scan, Bone Marrow, Lymph node & Splenic Aspiration testing for everything they could think of, the worst was confirmed by Specialist& Governments vets. War was immediately started on medication to help control the disease (its incurable) but unfortunately the disease was to far developed.
All my dogs have undergone extensive testing and all others have been found clear of Leishmania. As we now understand the IFI test is not 100% accurate, all my dogs have also undergone both ELISA & PCR tests. ELSIA - Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assays, and DNA amplification via Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR).
My reason for publishing this information is to help you make an educated and informed decision when importing a dog from countries with Leishmania or any other diseases that we don't; have in Australia - make sure the tests being used are the best and most accurate tests available.
We miss War every day!
